ماسر ال Neomail

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

لدى عدة إستضافات كلها على شركات أجنبية مختلفة
لاحظت انهم شركة وراء الاخرى بدأوا فى اغلاق خدمة بريد النيوميل Neomail
والاكتفاء غالبا بالهارود Harode
وعند مناقشة الدعم الفنى كل على حدة وجدت الجميع يؤكد أن بريد ال Neomail يسبب لوود كبير ومشاكل على السيرفر رغم انه كان الافضل لدعمه العربية كاملاً بعكس الهارود الذى يظهر فيه بعض العيوب , فهل بالفعل بريد ال نيو ميل يسبب ضغط على السيرفر وهل اصبح فى طريقة للانقراض من لوحات ال سى بانل ؟؟!!!

لهذه الأسباب:

1. Cpanel no longer supports Neomail and is excluding it from future updates.

أوقفت شركة cpanel دعمها عن النيوميل ولم تضيفها بعد التحديثات

2. Of the three webmail clients available, Neomail is the most resource-intensive and the most unstable. Neomail has a nasty habit of causing high server load due to 'hung processes', such as:

79.5 0.1 12:18.96 /usr/bin/perl -T ./neomail/neomail.pl



(This means its using 79.95% of one of the server's CPUs for 12 hrs 18 min! until we killed it off)

These hung processes cause the server's load to skyrocket to 30+ until we stop that process by killing it off. The high server load makes all other processes on the server, such as http and pop3/imap, and mysql, etc. appear sluggish and slow, or unreachable! This is a HUGE problem on our servers (we have to kill it on several servers at least once a day) and there is no fix due to cpanel no longer supporting it.

3. Neomail also has a bad habit of corrupting the files it uses and has, on occasion, and completely randomly, lost all mail for a user if they tried to perform an operation within Neomail.

يتسبب فى كثير من الحلات بضياع البريد على المستخدمين فى حالة اجراء اي عمليات تشغيلية على نظام بريد النيوميل

4. Neomail has not been in active development since 2002. Also, there are security vulnerabilites in the current version that will not be officially patched due to the program being abandoned.

لا يحدث البريد باستمرار وجموده من عام 2002

مقارنة بسيطة

Horde: Actively developed but slowly worsening with every update.
Neomail: Decent however will insta-kill servers.
Squirrelmail: Great but doesn't attract enough users to remove the other two (mainly due to it's 'simplicity').

With Roundcube we've noticed a steady trend of active thorough development, a great look/user interface (complete with very well used AJAX)

أستخدم SquirrelMail فهو يدعم العربية و له ثيمات متعددة

حصلنا البرنامج (راوند كيوب) ومعه التعريب ويركب على سيرفرات لينوكس ،شكله مجاني لأنه بيتا 2

بصراحة أحسست انه ليس من الصعوبة بمكان ان يقوم اي شخص ببرمجة سكريبتة الخاص للايمل.
يكفي ان يتصل علبر ال IMAP او ال POP3

ال newmail جميل لانه خفيف جدا ويعمل بكل الحالات لانه CGI ام ال سكيورل ميل فيعتمد على ال php ويحول البريد الى قواعد بينات Mysql على حد علمي فاي لود على سيفر MYsql يهدد بوقف السكيورل ميل و الهودري ايضا لن يسلم من ذلك .
